Well, it is finally completed! Our group had to use Googledocs to come up with a plan to pitch to schools. Now, I have to admit that I was not pleased when our group decided to focus on math! I mean that is actually one of my worst subjects (to this day I don't know how I got past 1+1=2). I realized that I had to put in extra effort because of this mathematical challenge. Luckily, I was able to come up with a lesson that focused on both math and reading so I was successful at completing my assignments.
What did I hate about completing the PBL? Well, I did not really enjoy using Googledocs but that was really because so many comments were made and it started taking like 10 MINUTES just to download the first page! It is a good way for people who can not get together to do a face to face to collaborate. I don't know how my group would have been able to complete the assignment had it not been for this program. I give Gdocs a thumbs up! It is free, has up to date with a choice of different programs, allows collaboration and even stores info for you. What more could anyone ask for? Here's a link for you to see what how our group collaborated using Googledocs! PBL Project Group C

PBL Experience#1
Okay, so my new mission is to find out if Googledocs is worth using. I have head so many things about the application and often wondered whether or not it truly is a good tool for collaboration as many have claimed. I was reluctant to actually try to use Gdocs but then my professor insisted SOOOOO.....stay tune and check back to see if my Gdoc experience winds up getting a thumbs up or a thumbs down!

Article of The Week
In education, the use of technology can be extremely useful when providing mentors/professional development opportunities to educators. Providing teachers with access mentors and/or professional development can be extremely cost effective for a school district. The "Article of The Week" focuses on mentoring via technology. I thought that this article would be worth posting so that people can see that there are opportunities for self improvement that exists with the click of a mouse!

Why Should Educators Focus On Technolgoy?
As a teacher it is important to always capture the attention of your students and one of the ways that we do this is by introducing them to new innovative ways of learning. If we just rely on the old methods then we will constantly stick to old ideas and resources which may not match the new expectations set by the state or the federal government. I hope that during my time at UWG I will be able to learn how to integrate technology in a manner that will be both entertaining and beneficial to my students.
Welcome to Operation Integration!
Learning technology is an experience many people tend to shy away from. The idea that technology is incredibly complicated has been inscribed in the minds of many seasoned educators. It is for this reason that I have decided to create a site of my journey to integrate technology into my classroom instruction. I want to keep a record of my experiences to show others that they are not alone in their fears and that with practice they can successfully implement useful technological innovations into their classroom instruction.
